The Opportunity
The Senior Financial Accountant reports to the Finance Manager and supports the Finance team. Its tactical responsibilities feed one larger objective: will have input into the production of both statutory and management accounts for a number of group entities. Primary responsibilities include:
- responsible for the preparation of monthly management accounts and will be involved in the annual budgeting process, year-end audits and preparation of annual audited financial statements for multiple legal entities, including stand alone and consolidated structures
- manage the accounts payable cycle, billing cycle, accounts receivable provisioning, balance sheet analysis and monitoring of all client balances for the respective business units
- involve in annual budgeting and forecasting, as well as various initiatives, projects and ad-hoc analysis
What You Bring
In addition to indisputably high ethical standards and autonomy, the ideal candidate possesses the following:
- The successful candidate will have a university degree in accounting or finance; A professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA or equivalent) would be an asset together with a minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in accounting in commercial fields or audit fields with a leading accountancy practice or financial institution;
- Experience in a different jurisdiction is an advantage;
- The successful candidate will have excellent time management, proven ability to adhere to strict deadlines, organisational and prioritisation skills as well as excellent communication skills, both verbal and written (fluent written and oral English);
- The position requires the ability to deal with all levels of staff including those in foreign offices.
